our story
The Heart & Soul of Āhua
When two of my children developed eczema, as I had when I was younger, I went looking for skincare that was simple, gentle and made from ingredients I understood. Most of what I found was full of fillers and synthetics I didn’t want on my family’s skin.
So I began making my own. What started as simple balms for my family grew, through years of research and refinement, into Āhua: organic New Zealand grass-fed tallow, native botanicals like kawakawa and mānuka, and pure essential oils, working together to nourish and protect.
As an artist and Integrative Nutrition Health Coach, I’ve always been fascinated by the connection between nature, nourishment, and wellbeing. Our skin is remarkably intelligent, constantly working to protect, restore, and maintain balance. I believe what we put on it should support that work, not get in its way.
In a world of excess and quick fixes, Āhua is an invitation to return to simple, honest ingredients.
Thank you for supporting a small New Zealand business built on care, craftsmanship and connection.
Ngā mihi,
